How 'Bout Those Brownies

We are gearing up for our first Brownie (Girl Scouts) meeting this week and we are so excited. I am a Co-Leader this year which just means even more work for me, but I am LOVING it! You know I can't have it any other way than to be right in the middle of everything. We are going to meet every other week to allow us to have some time for outings on the weeks we don't have meetings.

We are participating in a Volksmarch (a German walk) in a couple of weeks and are looking forward to that. There are a lot of opportunities to get out and about and do things with the girls here in Germany that they could never experience in the States. And they already have patches and awards designed for these so the girls are really looking forward to those.

I have to do lots of extra training for the Co-Leader position and for the outings in general so that's where I spend some of my time during the week and this weekend I have a 3 hour training to go to. That part I don't always love, but it means we can do more fun things with the girls and that makes me happy!

I'll have to post pics when we do the things with the local people. I am really excited for the girls to experience these cultural opportunities. They just don't know how good they have it over here! :)
