No, I haven't forgotten that we had family pics taken just a few short months ago. And yes, I have been meaning to share them with you all very soon. So here ya go...

Neeley and I enjoyed the day at Camp Butterfly, the Girl Scout day camp held every year here in Stuttgart. I was a chaperone for Neeley's group today and on the schedule was a theater workshop. The girls had so much fun acting out scenes on stage, playing with the stage makeup, trying on wigs and costumes, and seeing the backstage area.
Waiting at the bus stop to take us to the theater on Kelley Barracks.
Besties at the bus stop...
Cheesin' on the bus...
Picking out the scene to act out. These were some talented girls!
What a great group of girls!
At the bus stop at the end of the day. Showing off the freckles she got in the makeup room. She also received a big hairy wart made out of a paste but it fell off before we snapped this pic.
Cooling off with a drink and a snack at the end of the day while waiting for the bus to take us back to post.
We finally got around to making Neeley her family birthday cake. We decorated it together and had so much fun.
Of course, we had our Girl Scout camping trip, and the pics from that trip are coming soon.
We also spent a lot of time playing outside in the water with friends.
We also ate lots of good food. Neeley LOVES crab legs and has been asking for them lately so I made a low country boil for dinner tonight. Oh and it was yummy!!
It's been a great weekend. We are spending as much time as we can in the sun after spending so many months with the snow. I gladly welcome the sunburn I have.
We're off to Girl Scout camp this week, and really looking forward to it!

Happy 9th Birthday Neeley!! Cannot believe we've had the privilege of waking up to your precious face every day for 9 years now. You make us very proud to be your parents. Here's to many, many more.
Ever feel like you are spinning like a top and not going anywhere? Yep, that's my world right now, but honestly I wouldn't have it any other way. Well, actually...put me on a beach somewhere and well...you get the picture. This is Neeley's birthday week as you know, and poor kid....her actual birthday is tomorrow, but it is so jam packed with other fun, that I'm afraid it won't feel much like her birthday at all. Tomorrow we start our weekend long Girl Scout camp and we prep for next week's camp as well. Wow!!We elected to open gifts from the family tonight since tomorrow will be such a crazy day. And oh, is she excited. I keep hearing "Awesome!" as she is going through it all over and over. Enjoy the pics! I feel like that is all I ever say here anymore, and I apologize for that. I will get a chance to update you all very soon, I promise!
Enjoy this cute little video of Neeley and a couple of her besties at the birthday party on Saturday. Once again, we had a BLAST!!Cannot believe my baby girl is turning 9!!
Today we hosted a joint Girls Rock birthday party for Neeley and one of her besties at our community center here on post. Both **FABULOUS** girls are turning 9 very soon and requested a "Rock Star" party.
We had tons of fun! They rocked it out to personalized CD's we made, played freeze dance, enjoyed the game Dress Your Diva using toilet paper, dress up relays, and had a talent show. We even had small inflatable guitars for each person to decorate. And of course what's a party without delicious cupcakes.
This is a GREAT group of kiddos. Everyone had a great time! Wish you all could have been here. Enjoy the pics!!
