Frantic Friday

Today is Friday and Ronnie's last day to work for a few days so we're up and frantically trying to do all that we need to do today so that we can have some fun for the next few days. That's sometimes a challenge, especially since today feels like Lazy Friday instead. I'm off to hopefully get some things done but wanted to show you the pictures we took when we went to the Wilhelma Zoo & Botanical Gardens. I tell ya, you should go to their website (http://www.wilhelma.de/nc/en/home.html) and check it out. What a beautifully amazing place! We were there all day and it was worth every minute.

O-Ver-Whelmed!

Today is the day I have to do some things for my school that starts in just a few weeks and I am so overwhelmed! I didn't realize how incredibly difficult it is to "go to school online". :) How in the world will I get my books here in time? And I just found out that the government program that is subsizing most of it is about 3 to 4 weeks behind. Oh great! Bowden luck, I tell ya. Y'all say an extra lil prayer for us around here. I feel so out of my element here and REALLY want this to work.

All Things Good

We are so thankful for lazy mornings around here. Today on our agenda...a lil dip in the lil pool, a play date out in front of our building here in a bit, and a trip to the gym. Yes, I've got to get back out there. I keep telling myself I "need" to do this, but well I must have that one more cup of coffee, or hot tea. :)

So we're off...to do all things fun and good today.

Oh, and thank you for SO MANY emails and even phone calls about this chore chart business. It doesn't work around here. Apparently we aren't strict enough, idk. Bribery doesn't always work. I can only ask her to do something in my sweetest lil mommy voice when we are already right in the middle of a sweet moment and that doesn't always work. Outside of beating her to death to do her things, I'm not sure what other options I have. We don't usually battle a lot of clutter around here just because she's not like that but I do ask her to make her bed and straighten her room and straighten and clean her bathroom. I will have to take a pic of the little sticky note I have on her bathroom mirror for motivation. I just can't do it all by myself, so I was wondering what you do at your house and boy I know now. :) Thanks again!

Oh No!

Well, as you can see my layout has changed. And well...I don't like it. I haven't ventured out yet to have someone design one for me but that's my next step. I am no good at this nor do I enjoy it. It has now taken 3.5 hours to fix the mess. :( Why do we do this to ourselves? Do any of you have any good recommendations? I really want something Germany-related on here but yeah, well I'm not the gal to do it. LOL

It's another survey time . . . for those of you with kids...

How do you handle chores around your house with your kiddos? Do you use a chore chart? Reward system? Any ideas please? Mine does nothing without bribery...and REALLY? She's 8 y.o. and it is getting old quickly. We pretty much never have a good day that doesn't end in a fight. Your help, please...

I so wish I had pictures to show you all how hard we have worked, but those will come soon enough. I just HAD to share this experience with you all. We did have a little peep of sun come out for just a bit before lunch today so we headed outside and Neeley wanted to get her bike out. Now, this is not a coordinated girl by any means, and she comes by that naturally. But after many, many days of tears and bummed knees, that girl can now ride that bike like no other! We are so proud of her! Ok . . . and us, too. Thanks to Daddy for being here to help us! :)

Guten Morgen from a very rainy, stormy Germany. Bleck...we were supposed to get out and have some fun today since Ronnie is off and with us, but now it looks like it might be a Movie Monday around our house. We may still catch a museum or something but still...why does it have to be weepy outside when we finally have some time to have some fun? I FINALLY found those Legoland Deutschland pictures from when we went a few weeks ago. So this is what I leave you with for today...Enjoy! This And That And Then Some

It's a scorching hot day today, y'all! 94 here in Germany is apparently making the locals squirm. Yeah, I have to admit it's pretty darn hot and it's only 8:00 am. What!?!

Neeley and I had a blast at VBS but we are also glad it's over. We met some really great people and we can't wait to really get involved and to get to know them better.

I will have tons more pictures to post on the coming days. I am just now getting around to editing and organizing from our two camera and 4 memory cards. Sad, I know. :)

Another Good Day

Yay! We are off to VBS soon! And we cannot wait! The roast is in the crock pot after my 7 am date with my Wii Fit board and it is going to be a great day!
